Deidra is a passionate advocate and dedicated professional with over two decades of invaluable experience working with children and families. Her extensive background is a testament to her unwavering commitment to nurturing young minds and strengthening family units. She began her journey as a Head Start Teacher, where she had the privilege of guiding children through their crucial early developmental stages. Her leadership skills further shone as a Head Start Center Coordinator, overseeing and supervising services for approximately 120 children, ensuring they received the best possible start in life.

Beyond early childhood education, Deidra has been a fierce champion for vulnerable children as a Department of Social Services Caseworker for foster care. In this role, she advocated for the well-being and safety of children and families in challenging circumstances. Then, as a Parent Educator, she empowered caregivers with the essential tools and knowledge to cultivate supportive and enriching home environments.

Currently, Deidra is a Certified Academic Support Teacher with a Master's in Learning Disabilities. She specializes in supporting students with a wide array of educational needs. Her diverse roles have provided her with a unique and invaluable perspective on child development, family dynamics, community support systems, and the best practices for teaching children with diverse learning needs.

Beyond her professional role, Deidra is passionate about working with youth in her community through various church ministries. When she is not teaching she is baking. It's the wealth of knowledge, her passion for teaching, parent relationships and experience that has inspired her to write this E-book, designed to guide parents and educators to success.
